FAQ's
Perfect Fit Shutter brackets are designed for the blind to be secured at the top and bottom of the Glass. The brackets are located by punched holes where they will simply slot into; when installing we advise to locate the bottom brackets in their holes first and then locate the top ones.
Adhering to the Perfect Fit Shutter specification, extra brackets are required when a height measurement is equal to or greater than 900mm. The hole on the side frame we drill is circular, which gives the side bracket a better fixing opportunity and is all part of the specification. The side brackets are visible and currently do not have any cover caps or stickers to place over them. We will always try to centre this hole we drill to the height of the stile to be aesthetically pleasing, however there can be times, because of the build of the blind, that this hole has to be off-centred. Such examples are when you may have a window handle rebate or the tensioning screw of the slats is central.
Please note that if your bead depth measurement is between sizes, such as 25mm, we would suggest for you to size down to the 24mm bracket.
Please also note that the top and bottom bracket holes may not always be a credit card width inwards for the brackets, for example, when the shutters have a narrow width. Spacing the bracket holes not at a credit card’s width is a decision which our manufacturing and production department make.
Perfect Fit Shutter blinds are not suitable for any sliding door or bi-fold door system, the frame sits proud by approximately 30mm from fitting flush against the window frame.
Hence, this will prohibit any bi-fold door systems folding completely flat against one another.
Please note that your window/door must also be internally beaded, so the brackets can slide behind the beading.
We cannot align and match the slats/louvres for any of our Perfect Fit Shutters which have different drops, which we appreciate could be in the same window or room.
As Perfect Fit is measured so accurately, our manufacturing software automatically calculates the pitch between the slats based on the drop of the Glass measurement and this cannot be changed under any circumstance.
We recommend that regular visual checks are carried out to ensure that no components or blind parts have been damaged, dislodged or lost which could result in operating difficulties and/or cause a safety risk.
If any maintenance is required, we recommend that the work is carried out immediately, by a reputable blind company and the blind to be removed and not used if there is a safety concern.
Any minor scratches can be buffed out using an ultrafine sanding pad to ensure the shutters maintain their appearance.
